These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of https://copilot-alternatives.com/ (the "Site"), an independent directory and comparison guide for GitHub Copilot alternatives, operated by ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. The Service
The Site publishes independent comparisons, rankings, and a directory of tools positioned as alternatives to GitHub Copilot. Content reflects our own editorial review methodology (described on the Site) and is not paid ranking. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by GitHub, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, or any vendor listed; all product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to submit a listing or make a purchase on the Site.
3. Suggesting or Submitting a Listing
You may suggest a correction, pricing update, or new tool via our contact page, or — where self-serve submission is available — submit a listing directly. By doing so, you represent that the information provided is accurate and that you have the right to submit it, and that the tool does not infringe any third party's rights or violate Section 6. We review all suggestions and submissions and may include, edit, reject, or remove any listing at our sole discretion, including after publication and without notice. Inclusion in the directory does not guarantee any specific ranking, "best for" designation, traffic, or business outcome.
4. Paid Featured Placements (where available)
Where we offer paid featured placement, it is billed on a recurring basis at the price shown at checkout, until cancelled, and processed by Creem (creem.io), acting as the Merchant of Record — Creem handles checkout, applicable taxes, invoicing, and payment security; we never receive or store your full card details. Cancel anytime via the Creem Customer Portal link emailed after purchase; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period. Amounts already charged are non-refundable except where required by law. A paid placement affects visibility within the listing directory only — it does not entitle a tool to an editorial "best for" recommendation, which remains an independent judgment.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information about a tool
- Submit malware, illegal content, or tools that facilitate illegal activity
- Scrape, copy, or republish the Site's content or database without permission
- Abuse the contact or submission process (e.g., automated or bulk spam)
- Interfere with the Site's normal operation or security
We may suspend or remove access or listings for violating these Terms.
6. Prohibited Listings
We do not list tools that are illegal, sexually explicit, primarily designed to deceive or defraud, or that otherwise violate applicable law or our payment processor's acceptable use policies.
7. Intellectual Property
- Site content we create — rankings, comparisons, tables, FAQ, and articles — is owned by us and may not be reproduced without permission.
- Where you submit listing content, you retain ownership but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, edit for formatting/clarity, and distribute it as part of the Site.
- "GitHub Copilot," "GitHub," and all other tool names, logos, and trademarks referenced are the property of their respective owners. Their use is for identification and comparison purposes only and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.
8. Third-Party Tools Disclaimer
The Site provides information about third-party tools for comparison purposes only, including pricing, which may change without notice — verify current details with the vendor before purchasing. We do not control, test, or guarantee the accuracy, security, or availability of any listed tool.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on any content. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your submitted content or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access, or remove any listing, at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are an EU-resident consumer, you retain any mandatory consumer-protection rights under the law of your country of residence regardless of this clause.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
